Cooking Method:

  1. Remove rice ball from freezer, do not thaw.
  2. Lower rice ball into boiling water. Push rice ball with back of ladle constantly to prevent sticking.
  3. Boil at high flame for 5 minutes, rice rice ball floats, reduce flame to medium and boil for additional 5-6 minutes.
  4. Ready to serve.

Recipe for Sweet Soup

Ingredients:

2 pieces pandan leaf

1 small piece ginger (peeled and smashed)

1200ml water, 200g sugar

1 piece taro/yam

Cooking Instruction:

  1. Sweet Soup: Bring 1200ml of water to boil, add pandan leaf, ginger and sugar. Bring to boil again and turn off heat to set aside.
  2. Peel pumpkin and taro, cut into small pieces.
  3. In a separate pot, boil pumpkin and taro until soft.
  4. Serve sweet soup with pumpkin, taro and Glutinous Rice Ball.

Recipe for Red Bean Soup

Ingredients:

1 cup adzuki red beans

4 cups of water

1/2 cup sugar

Cooking Instruction:

  1. Combine adzuki beans and water in a slow cooker and cook on 'HIGH' for 2 hours.
  2. Stir in the sugar and cook for another hour, until red beans are soft to your desired texture.
  3. Serve warm or cold with Glutinous Rice Ball.
